  • Club Kayak - A guide to kayaking in the Central Gulf Coast region of Florida with trip reports, discussion forums, advice and photos.
    • The manager of this site, Ed Schessl, has created a package of web site development tools to assist clubs and vendors in quickly and simply creating web sites. If you need to create a web site, but don't have sufficient confidence in your technical skills, I encourage you to visit Ed's web site, www.prosirus.com, to review his product. FYI - the Club Kayak, Tampa Bay Sea Kayakers, and Florida Paddling Trails Association web sites all run on Ed's software.
    • Green Wave Forum - Ed has set up a great forum for Florida kayakers to share information
  • Dave's Yak Tales - A great kayaking blog and an excellent resource for places to paddle.
  • Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail (Florida Department of Environmental Protection - Office of Greenways and Trails). The Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail was officially adopted by the Florida legislature in . The Trail is 1,600 miles in length and circumnavigates the State of Florida from Big Lagoon State Park near Pensacola, extending around the Florida peninsula and Keys, and ending at Fort Clinch State Park near the Georgia border. The Trail is monitored and maintained by the Florida Paddling Trails Association (see below). The Greenways and Trails site has extensive information on the 26 Segments within the Trail, including routes, maps and advice.
  • Florida Paddling Trails Association - The steward for the Circumnavigational Trail.
  • Florida Sea Kayaking Association
  • Paddling and Boating in Florida
  • Sea Kayak Florida
  • Sweetwater Kayak - There a lot of great kayak stores in the Tampa Bay area, but Sweetwater is my personal favorite - professional, experienced, friendly and service oriented. If you are new to paddling and are in need of some guidance on how to do it right, go to Sweetwater. If you want to truly enjoy kayaking, you need the right equipment and the right training. Start with Sweetwater.
    • Check out their map of put-ins and other facilities around the Bay area.
  • The other great kayak provisioner and all around sports emporium is Bill Jackson's. In today's world of big box sport stores where the focus is on price with little or no service or advice, Bill Jackson's is a throw back to an era where the sales person was a true expert and sold the best quality product. If you are serious about sports and need serious equipment, Bill Jackson's is the place to start. Even if you're not that serious, visit their store, it's a true adventure - and maybe you'll be inspired to get serious.
  • Tampa Bay Sea Kayakers - If you love to kayak and you live in the Tampa Bay region, join TBSK.
